...even when you're sick!
Kyler managed to have a pretty good Christmas even thought he was very sick. He started with a fever on Christmas eve that continued between 103 and 105 degrees for 5 days. We paged the doctor on Christmas eve (I'm sure he loved that) and took him in on Wednesday to find out he had RSV bronchiolitis. Apparently, this can be quite serious in little guys and they sometimes need hospitalized. Fortunately, Kyler got through it okay, but pretty much slept the week away: 14 hours at night and a 5 hour nap. By the end of the week, he started to dig his new presents.
So sick...
but still able to eat pie.
Kyler got a whole new playroom in the basement.
Dada got a playroom too.

Santa Claus is coming to town
Monday, December 10, 2007
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
We had such an exciting day on Saturday. It started out with breakfast with Santa.
Then we went to the tree farm and took a train ride out to the trees.
Laying one on Mama. We kind of created a monster with the kissing thing and now he's a smooching machine. Which is especially nice when he has a runny nose and is drooling from teething.
Now which one do we choose. After about 30 minutes out there, they all start to look the same.
Carefully supervising Dada cut down the tree.
So proud of his work. Is that saw baby proofed?

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Kyler enjoying the first snow of the year. He was a little freaked out at first but then really liked it. Who knows, maybe it was because I kept throwing snowballs at him.
Warm inside, enjoying Mama's homemade veggie chili. As you can see, the self feeding skills are "improving".
Getting out the Christmas decorations.

Trick or treat, smell my feet, give my parents something good to eat!
Because Kyler hasn't had peanuts yet and so much darn candy has peanuts/ peanut butter, Mama and Dada just had to eat a lot of the candy. But Kyler still had fun Trick or Treating at the mall and in the neighborhood, and still had plenty of candy.
Yeah, carving pumpkins.
No slimy stuff please.
Trick or treating at the mall.
Chocolate face. The way that costume is, doesn't it look like Kyler is not Winnie, but rather Winnie is eating Kyler? Either way, Halloween appropriate.
Candy makes me thirsty.

Big Trip to Florida!
We had our trip to Florida last week for the FSU-Miami game and it was a blast! We stayed with our good friends, Angela and Greg, and their 3 1/2 year old son, Carter. Kyler was such a good boy and had so much fun. There are no direct flights to Tallahassee, so we decided to fly to Jacksonville and drive to Tally, to avoid 2 flights and a layover. If a melt down was to occur, I'd rather it be in the privacy of our rental car. But Kyler did great with both the flight and the drive. Of course, we lost the football game, but that's nothing new.
Kyler's first plane ride.
The limo we had to shuttle everybody back and forth to the game.
The limo driver in his full tuxedo, top hat, and gloves helping us load our coolers into the limo for the tailgate.
Kyler's first limo ride.
Tailgating fun.
There was a Sister Hazel concert on campus Sunday night to kick off Homecoming week. So it was mostly students there. We were all there with Kyler and Carter. Well, this group of girls walk by us and I over hear one of them say (in a shocked and appalled voice), "there are like families here!" I had to laugh- I probably would have said the same thing when I was a student there. Whatever, we had fun anyway hanging out with our Italian take out and bottle of wine. Kyler had a great time too, rocking and rolling, dancing and running around like a maniac!
