My new best friend & the Halloween Party

Kyler got to meet his future best friend. Ryan, who lives 2 doors down, was born on October 11th. He is so cute and little that it makes you realize how fast they grow up!

Now that the weather is colder, Kyler is able to try out some of the great sweaters Granny knit for him.

Kyler, Gramma, Aunt Michelle, and I went to a Halloween/birthday party for Madeline (daughter of Vicky, Kyler's babysitter, and granddaughter of Barb, my Mom's good friend) this weekend. We all had a good time and Kyler got to show off his Tigger Halloween costume.

We even found an Eeyore for him!

Highland Orchard

We went to Highland Orchard last Sunday to pick out our pumpkin. They had a lot of activities for the kids: hayrides, games, etc. Kyler is a little young this year but he liked watching the other kids and looking around. He is so curious now and really looks at everything like he is analyzing it.

Chris and I also went to my 15th highschool reunion on Sat night. Check out some photos on the family blog.

Kyler is 5 months old!

Another month has gone by so fast. He continues to grow and grow and is doing well with his new schedule at the babysitters 3 days per week. His 5 month stats are 15 pounds, 11 ounces and 27 inches!

Babysitting and Lucky Canadians

Kyler started at the babysitter last week and it went really great. Kyler seemed to like it a lot and the little girls there love him! When I dropped him off this morning, one of the little girls yelled, "He's here!!!!" and 2 other girls came running. He had a nap strike this weekend from the adjustment, but seems to be back on track now.

I feel very fortunate that the situation with work and babysitting is going so well as I have heard some stories... However, I have realized that nobody has it as good as the Canadians! Our friends from Canada, Leslie and Carl came to visit last night. Leslie is due with a ??? in December. Anyway she told us (new mommies get ready to scream) that in Canada, you get 12 months maternity leave, where the government pays you 50% of your salary (up to a max) for the entire 12 months! Not only that, but many companies then pay on top of that to bring you up to your full salary which then decreases over 6-7 months! I am considering an international move for the next baby. The only problem, though is that you have to then live in Canada (hehe, just kidding)

Anyway, here's some recent photos in his new digs brought back from Switzerland from Aunt Michelle and Uncle Dave.
