Easter

Easter morning hunt.

The safety goggles that have become a permanent part of Kyler's daily wardrobe.
Easter dinner with the whole family, cousins, second cousins...at Aunt Bunny's house.
The kids getting revved up for the big Easter egg hunt.

What a great haul!
It seems we have several budding musicians in the family.
Mia just being her usual happy baby girl.
Mia's new boyfriend, Jonathan (my friend, Carla's 4 month old son).

Kyler and Mia have both taken some big steps lately. We finally went cold turkey with Mia's naps in the swing. We had a few rough days that I thought I wouldn't make it, but I am happy to say we have been swing-free for an entire week and she is now napping happily in her crib!!!!

As for Kyler, today marks one month in underpants!! He has pretty much mastered the peeing part, but we are still working on the poo-poo. Fortunately, he doesn't have many accidents, he just waits until nap or bed time when he has a diaper on to go. (Isn't it easier to just go in the potty then hold it all day???) Anyway, we had a couple days in a row this week of poo-poo on the potty so we may have turned a corner with that too!!

Mia is 6 months old!!

Mia is 6 months old today and getting so big, so fast. I can't believe she's half way to being 1 already. It is definitely going by much quicker with the second baby.
She is 15 pounds, 14 ounces (51%). Her doctor appointment is next week so we will get her height then.
She has mastered all her level 1 fruits and veggies and loves everything. She is sleeping through the night in her crib, but still prefers her swing for naps. I can put her down wide awake in her crib at night and she doesn't even fuss, but during the day, she screams like it's torture! Good thing we got a swing that plugs in or we'd be broke from D batteries. She can sit on her own for a good couple minutes now, and can even stand for a short time holding onto a sturdy object, but she can't rollover. Hmm...maybe has something to do with napping in the swing:) Oh well, I'm in no rush. She can stay my little baby forever.

Some funny outtakes from our "photo shoot". I love the second one. Does anyone remember the church lady from SNL? And the last one looks like, "I've had enough of this photo shoot."

Best buddies.

It is so great to see Mia and Kyler becoming buddies already. They really enjoy spending time together. Kyler always wants to see Mia when he first wakes up or comes home from school and Mia loves being entertained by her big brother. He can get a laugh out of her any time.

Lots of stuff going on the passed couple weeks: Mommy's B-day, Aunt Chelle's baby shower, a weekend at Grandmom and Poppop's house while Mommy and Daddy did some house painting. Kyler went to his first Flyers game with Daddy on Friday night and had a great time. He had junk food for dinner and stayed out until 11 pm! Chris said he really got into the game and was cheering along with the crowd. On Sunday, I took the kids to Chris' hockey game and Kyler kept saying, "No Daddy on the ice. I want Daddy to sit with me." He also kept wondering why Daddy was just standing around. (He doesn't understand the special skills of a goalie yet).
