Big Trip to Florida!

We had our trip to Florida last week for the FSU-Miami game and it was a blast! We stayed with our good friends, Angela and Greg, and their 3 1/2 year old son, Carter. Kyler was such a good boy and had so much fun. There are no direct flights to Tallahassee, so we decided to fly to Jacksonville and drive to Tally, to avoid 2 flights and a layover. If a melt down was to occur, I'd rather it be in the privacy of our rental car. But Kyler did great with both the flight and the drive. Of course, we lost the football game, but that's nothing new.

Kyler's first plane ride.

The limo we had to shuttle everybody back and forth to the game.

The limo driver in his full tuxedo, top hat, and gloves helping us load our coolers into the limo for the tailgate.

Tailgating fun.

There was a Sister Hazel concert on campus Sunday night to kick off Homecoming week. So it was mostly students there. We were all there with Kyler and Carter. Well, this group of girls walk by us and I over hear one of them say (in a shocked and appalled voice), "there are like families here!" I had to laugh- I probably would have said the same thing when I was a student there. Whatever, we had fun anyway hanging out with our Italian take out and bottle of wine. Kyler had a great time too, rocking and rolling, dancing and running around like a maniac!

Carter and Kyler: buddies having fun!

Big Changes

I had eluded to the fact that there would be some big changes on the horizon for Kyler and NO it is not a sibling! Kyler will be starting at The Malvern School at the end of October. He will still be going part time (3 days per week). We have been very happy with his current babysitter, but we just feel that now that he is a little older, he would benefit from being with more kids his age and in a school/learning environment. We are very excited, but nervous too. It will be a big change for all of us, but we think a good one.

Here he is on his new sleeping bag for school naps. He dove right on it as soon as I took it out and started rubbig his face on the doggy head!

Granny and Poppy were in town this weekend and Granny has already started on the knitting for this winter. Kyler loves his new mittens. He kept putting his hands out to have them put on and then walked around in the 85 degree weather with mittens on!
