Learning every day.

We love to Paint!
Mia had her first complete sentence recently. It was, "I wanna do that." Of course it was because she wants to do everything and do it by herself. Now she is talking up a storm and can even count to 10! She must just pick that stuff up because I didn't teach her.
Kyler is expanding his vocabulary by copying everything I say: "That certainly is a big hole the man dug. Actually, Mommy I do need your help. I'm not eating that sandwich. It was sitting out and now it has decayed. "
The hole he was referring to was the one the plumber dug to move the septic pump out of the house and into an underground area in the yard, since it flooded the basement AGAIN! So now we can finish the basement (at our expense, since the insurance denied our claim) and not worry about it flooding again. Ugggg- I hope that project will be done soon.
I wrapped up my first season of co-ed softball last week. I played with Michelle, Dave and some friends. We finished 4th out of 20 teams and made it to the playoffs! We lost a close game in the first round of the playoffs but had a lot of fun all season.
Chris continues to play hockey year round with his usual success and seems to be having a lot of fun with that still.

Here is a picture of some long time high school friends and our gaggle of kids at a recent party.

4th of July

Chris, Dave, and I did our annual 4th of July 5K run. This year, we got our friend Denise to join us. I beat my time by a whopping 16 seconds.
Chris, who hasn't run since last year's 4th of July beat his time by over a minute. (Chris is in the middle of the photo by the yellow line).

Fun times at Uncle Erik and Aunt Renee's house.
Mia loves patty cake with Grandmom, who she now calls Gaga like Kyler did at her age.
