First real haircut

Kyler got his first real haircut last weekend. I was afraid he would jump off the chair and run around like a maniac, but he sat in the chair like a very good boy. He was so fascinated by everything going on; we'll see after the novelty wears off.

Is this normal for a 15 month old?

How about this one?

Chris and I are constantly asking ourselves this question with all Kyler's crazy antics. He will carry a full 2 liter of coke all over the house and grunt and groan as he lifts it up onto tables, chairs, steps,...
He also loves hanging from the monkey bars and if you give him a boost, he starts doing pull ups!

Kyler is 15 months!

Kyler had his 15 month appointment on Friday with his new pediatrician, whom we really like. We liked his old doc, but not the office. He is 26 pounds, 15 ounces (79%)and 34 1/4 inches tall! (Off the chart-literally. I have a chart online that tracks his growth and he is actually off the graph in height >97%). He is such a big boy-when I carry him, his legs go halfway down my legs! I can't believe what a little bean he was just a year ago. I didn't realize that they were babies for such a short time.

He is so funny now. He loves to mimic everything we do. His new favorites are jumping (which he can't do) and snapping his fingers (which he can't do), but it is hilarious to see him try.

Here are some pics from cousin Olivia's B-day this weekend.

The Goshen Fair

We went to the Goshen Fair over the weekend and Kyler had a great time. In fact, he was so wound up, it took him forever to fall asleep after.
He loved petting the animals.

The big slide with Daddy. I remember going down that slide myself as a kid (although I don't think it was $2.50 a pop at the time!)

It's just not a fair without ice cream.

Visit with baby Isabelle

Our friends, Leslie, Carl and baby Isabelle (7 months), came up last weekend from Annapolis for a visit. We all had a good time and Kyler and Isabelle were so cute together.

So, the new development this week is that Kyler can now climb up on the couch by himself, and the kitchen chairs, lounge chairs, coffee table.....Although we are always happy to see him achieve new tasks, it again takes safety/ baby proofing to a new level. Because of course he isn't satisfied to get on the couch, table, etc, he has to stand on it and see what he can climb onto next: the kitchen table, deck railing...

Chillin with Dada on the deck chairs.
